Is remapping safe for my engine?
A properly developed remap works within safe limits for your engine. We build a custom map for your vehicle rather than using a generic file, and we always back up your original file so it can be returned to standard if needed.
Will a remap void my manufacturer warranty?
A remap can affect your manufacturer warranty, particularly on drivetrain components. If your vehicle is under warranty, weigh this up before going ahead. We’re happy to talk it through honestly so you can make an informed decision.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. A remap is a modification and you should declare it to your insurer. Not declaring modifications can invalidate your policy. We always recommend being upfront with your insurance company.
Can the remap be reversed?
Yes. We back up your original ECU file before making any changes, so your vehicle can be returned to its standard map if you ever need to.
Will it improve my fuel economy?
It can, particularly with an economy-focused map and a sensible driving style. Results vary by vehicle and how it’s driven, so we’ll give you an honest expectation for yours.
How much power will my car or van gain?
